About This Project

Mobicip Bottom Line:

Use Mobicip across all devices with emphasis on Android, Kindle, and Chromebooks

What is Mobicip? It’s a device filtering and monitoring service. They just launched a lot of new features and an easy-to-use parent app dashboard.

Cost: $39.99/year for 5 devices.

Supported platforms: iOS, Android, Chromebook, Mac, PC, Kindle.

Suitable ages: we find that Mobicip works best for elementary through middle school, into early high school. It can become a bit too restrictive for trustworthy middle school kids. Which is a good transition to something like Covenant Eyes + Screen Time (iOS) or Family Link (Android).

Strengths: its filter is one of the best and the way it controls YouTube, both in the app and in whatever browser you use, is impressive. No one controls YouTube as well as Mobicip. If a parent desires to have one parental control solution that monitors all devices at once, including iOS, Chromebooks, Android devices, and Kindles, then Mobicip can do that. We’ve recommended it from the beginning and have direct contact with their leadership, who are all very intent on creating a top-notch solution.

Note – layering Mobicip with Bark is a powerful 1-2 punch for most devices.
