Screenagers: Growing up in the Digital Age

Screenagers: Growing up in the Digital Age

On October 11 @ 7pm, Protect Young Eyes is teaming up with the Grand Rapids Catholic Diocese to bring SCREENAGERS: Growing up in the Digital Age to Celebration North for one showing.

Tickets are only $4.75 and can be purchased through Eventbrite here.

Here’s a summary of the movie: Are you watching kids scroll through life, with their rapid-fire thumbs and a six-second attention span?  Physician and filmmaker Delaney Ruston saw that happening with her own kids and began a quest to uncover how it might impact their development. Dr. Ruston takes a deeply personal approach as she probes into the vulnerable corners of family life, including her own, to explore struggles over social media, video games, academics and internet addiction. Through poignant, and unexpectedly funny stories, along with surprising insights from authors, psychologists, and brain scientists, SCREENAGERS reveals how tech time impacts kids’ development and also offers solutions on how adults can empower their kids to best navigate the digital world to find balance.

We’ll end the movie with an expert panel answering your questions.

Seating is limited so get your tickets today!

I love life. Seriously! Each. Day. A. Gift. Former CPA, business advisor, youth pastor, development director, porn survivor. Current marketing manager for Covenant Eyes and CEO of PYE. God shares wild ideas with me about life while I run. I love guiding parents to teach their kids how to use technology well while protecting them from the bad stuff.
